Welcome to Plymouth Argaum RFC’s club history website. Based on David Dobell’s excellent Centenary History written in 1987, this site brings together a wealth of material for this historic club. As well as a season-by-season archive we have Fixture Cards, Match Programmes, Team Photos and Match Reports.

During the Covid Lockdown in 2020 some more recent seasons were presented on Facebook and were very well received. These seasons have now been added to the archive, we intend to come right up to date in due course.

The aim of the site is to provide an archive for past players, their families and friends as well as a fascinating insight into the sporting and social history of the area. We are closely linked with the club VPs as well as PAPPA (Plymouth Argaum Past Players Association).

Whilst looking back on the club history we don’t intend to remain stuck in the past and include links to the club as its run today, with senior men’s and women’s teams, a thriving junior section as well as walking rugby.
