										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If 1907-08 had been a season of poor publicity, the seasons following, until rugby was interrupted by the first world war, were catastrophic.</p>



<p>Season 1908-09 has but one published result 30th January 1909, South Brent 49 Argaum 0. 1909-10, if numerically no better, the one recorded result is an improvement &#8211; not difficult &#8211; 6-8 v Plymouth and Mannamead College, J. C Hawks scoring for Argaum in the first half and a further try was added just in time.<br><br>Thereafter, until the club&#8217;s &#8216;resurrection&#8217; after the war, no mention is to be discovered in Plymouth&#8217;s leading newspapers &#8216;The Western Daily Mercury&#8217; and &#8216;The Western Morning News&#8217;.
